Welcome to Little Buddha Yoga
I'm Kristen and I am the owner and instructor here at Little Buddha Yoga.
Right now, all of my classes are held at the The Open Gym in the NE Heights.
I can also schedule home appointments for those of you who don't live near the NE Heights. I am frequently around the Nob Hill/University area and would be happy to stop by and visit your familiy for an hour or a half hour session.

Let me tell you a little bit about my vision.
I have lived in Albuquerque for almost 17 years now and I love it! Our sense of family is strong here! I see it everywhere I go! Unfortunately, I don't see a lot of family yoga. I feel it's important to share yoga with the people you love. Hey, it's important to share as much quality time as you can with the people you love! Little Buddha Yoga is my gift to you!
As for me, I have an undergraduate degree in Earth and Planetary Sciences with a minor in Biology from UNM.
Directly after college I followed my heart to New Hampshire where I taught children of all ages at an outdoor school. Some of these children had never been on a hike! I taught yoga, among other things like basic zoology, earth science, nutrition, fitness, and social skills. I learned so much during my stay there! One thing I learned is that I love working with children. Children need the right kind of environment to thrive. Together, we can create that with yoga.
I graduated CNM with a certificate from the Fitness Technician Program shortly thereafter. I immediately started my practice as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
Currently, I teach yoga and body sculpting at Stone Age Climbing Gym, another great place for kids and families! I also train at great local gym called Open Gym.
On top of those, I teach Kinesiology, Business of Personal Training and Physical Fitness I and help out with all other aspects of the Fitness Department at CNM.
I am certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and have practice yoga for at least 8 years now.
For my entire life I have been the "active kid" always looking for new and exciting things to try. I've taken all kinds of dance classes from Modern to Irish step, raced in 6 triathlons, many bike and running races, climbed for almost 10 years, and even went sky diving!
Long story short: I love fitness, I love working with children, and I love love love yoga!
